The BIS Program
is program that
enables students to bridge together two different majors to prepare them for
careers in a world with different academic disciplines. The BIS Program
allows students to
study their interests, but also helps them use these areas of concentrations
for their future.
In BIS 301 which
is Foundations of Interdisciplinary studies I learned what the BIS program was
about and also why I decided to choose BIS as a major as well as my areas of
concentration. It also gave me
an
outlook on how the workplace was going to be and the trends that followed. In BIS 302 which is Interdisciplinary
studies I learned the different area of human inquiry. I learned more
about myself as a person
and also how other people interact by watching them as well. In BIS 401 Applied
Interdisciplinary
Studies learned how to use problem solving skills in my internships, service
learning, and research that I conducted.
It allowed me to start applying all
that I was learning to my schooling and
future. In BIS 402 Senior
Seminar
helped me start looking at my options and career path. It gave me a chance
to look at what I
could be doing in the after I graduate.
